Mini-Grant Projects

The Boone County Education Foundation’s mission is to fund additional learning experiences and resources for students, teachers and administrators within the Boone County School District. Every year our Foundation raises enough money to provide mini-grants to help support our mission. The school and classroom projects highlighted below are a direct result of the funds raised from individuals and companies in Northern Kentucky just like you. Click here for donation options!
Conner Middle – A Plea for Bees
Middle school students collaborate to build bee hives for a school rooftop apiary using hand and power tools funded by the BCEF.
Camp Ernst Middle – Building the Community of Tomorrow
An entire school uses LEGOs (supplied by BCEF) to create a year-long project, where each grade level designs systems to make a better community for the future.
Thornwilde Elementary – Geocaching Team
Elementary students learn geography and problem-solving skills as they use GPS units (provided by BCEF) to work collaboratively to find “caches.
